Pada kesempatan kali ini tim Arsigriya Arsitek mendapatkan project desain renovasi rumah tinggal 1 lantai menjadi 2 lantai yang berlokasi di Sidoarjo, Jawa Timur. Rumah eksisting 1 lantai dengan luasan 60m2 ini direnovasi menjadi rumah tinggal 2 lantai dengan total luasan bangunan 149,5m2 dengan lahan eksisting lebar depan 10 meter dan panjang ke belakang 14 meter (luas lahan 140m2). Desain rumah tinggal mengangkat konsep modern tropis yang dapat terlihat dari penggunaan atap pelana miring ke arah depan dan bukaan berupa jendela yang cukup lebar.
Desain rumah 2 lantai ini dapat menampung kegiatan penghuni yang merupakan sebuah keluarga kecil yang terdiri dari ayah, ibu, dan seorang anak. Ruang-ruang yang disediakan juga cukup compact yang terdiri dari teras, ruang tamu, ruang keluarga/ruang makan, dapur, kamar tidur tamu, kamar tidur utama dengan kamar mandi dalam, sebuah kamar mandi, ruang cuci jemur, dan gudang pada lantai 1. Sedangkan pada lantai 2 terdapat ruang santai, sebuah kamar tidur anak dengan balkon yang menghadap ke taman belakang, kamar mandi, ruang jemur, balkon, dan area santai semi-outdoor. Layout baru rumah ini dirancang dengan tetap memperhatikan kondisi rumah eksisting sehingga ada beberapa area yang dipertahankan. Pada lantai 1 masih terdapat taman yang cukup luas di area belakang rumah yang bisa difungsikan sebagai area menanam dikarenakan owner mempunyai hobby menanam dan berkebun. Pada area depan masih terdapat cukup ruang untuk carport dengan kapasitas 1 mobil.
Konsep modern tropis pada rumah ini terlihat dari tampilan eksterior bangunan. Elemen atap dengan bentuk pelana bermaterial rangka baja ringan dan penutup genteng beton flat mencirikan konsep tropis. Warna bangunan yang dominan putih dan abu-abu memperkuat kesan modern dengan perpaduan material kaca dan aluminium warna hitam yang diterapkan sebagai kusen dan daun jendela. Daya tarik utama pada tampilan rumah ini selain pada atap, juga pada jendela pada lantai 2 yang berbentuk persegi yang segaris dengan balkon lantai 2 di sisi kanannya dengan beberapa tanaman yang mempercantik fasad dan merepresentasikan kesukaan owner terhadap tanaman. Tidak kalah menarik, pada lantai 1 digunakan material pasangan batu alam andesit dipadukan dengan material conwood pada pintu pagar carport yang menciptakan kesan hangat pada tampilan rumah.
YOSEPH’S 2-STOREY HOUSE IN SIDOARJO, JAWA TIMUR
On this occasion, Arsigriya Architect’s team received a design project of 1-storey house renovation turned into a 2-storey house which located in Sidoarjo, East Java, Indonesia. This 60m2 existing house will be renovated into a 2-storey house with total building area of 149,5m2 with existing land’s 10meters-width and 14meters-length (total area 140sqm). This house design carried a modern tropical concept which applied on the roof shape (gable roof design) that tilted back and front and also has many large openings (windows).
This 2-storey house design can fulfills owner activities which is a small family consist of father, mother, and a son. Spaces and rooms that provide in this house are very compact that consist of terrace, a living room, a dining room, kitchen, guest bedroom, master bedroom with master bathroom, a bathroom, laundry room, and a storage room on the first floor. Whereas, on the second floor there are a play room, a bedroom with balcony headings to the backyard area, a bathroom, laundry room, a front balcony, and a semi-outdoor terrace. The new layout of this house was designed with keep an eye of existing house condition. Therefore, there are some areas were maintained. On the first floor there’s still a spacious backyard that can be used by the owner for gardening activity because it’s his one of his hobby –gardening. On the front area, there is still an enough space for carport with a car capacity.
Modern tropical concept can be seen clearly from the exterior façade of this house. The roof element with a gable roof shape using light steel construction and concrete roof tile covering that characterize tropical concept. White and grey tones dominated on the façade of this house that can strengthen modern-look with combination of glass and black aluminium materials that applied on door-window elements. Excluding the roof, the main point of this house design is the square-shape window on the second floor that creates parallel lines with the front balcony on the right side of this window. There are also some plants (calathea luthea) that planted on the front balcony to adorn the façade and it represented the owner’s love for plants and gardening. Besides, on the first floor area, andesite stone material applied in the fence combined with conwood material that creates warm ambience on this house.
